Exciting News!
Seven of our Pre-K teachers are participating in Early Childhood LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training. This professional learning experience equips educators with a deeper understanding of how young children develop language and early literacy skills, setting a strong foundation for reading success. We are so proud of their commitment to growing their expertise and strengthening early learning across our district!

Tift County Schools partnered with Maggie Campbell’s Daycare and the Anthony Bateman Youth Center to celebrate Family Literacy Day. The event featured engaging sessions led by Dr. Nikkia Johnson from Affinity Pediatrics, who shared insights on early brain development, and Ms. Georgia Jackson, who discussed speech development in the early years. Parents and children participated in hands-on literacy centers designed to promote early learning at home and enjoyed a “to-go” lunch sponsored by Maggie Campbell's Daycare. Each child also received a book to take home, helping to build their personal library and encourage a love of reading. The day was a wonderful celebration of family engagement and the importance of early literacy.

RESOURCES
Exciting things continue to happen at The Palace! After receiving new goals last week, installation is now underway on a new digital scoreboard. The previous scoreboard, original to the construction of the building, served us well through many great moments, but it was time for an update. Thank you to our Board of Education for investing in the future of Blue Devil athletics. We are ready for basketball season! #4theT
