JT Reddick Students Crush Reading Challenge Goal! 📚🦄🎉
In the fall of last year, JT Reddick partnered with the Tifton-Tift County Public Library to launch a school-wide reading challenge through Beanstack, an online platform that tracks reading progress.
The goal? To read 1,000 books by mid-May 2025.
The result? Students more than doubled that goal—reading an amazing 2,410 books in total!
To keep motivation high, the library provided some fun and creative incentives. For every 50 books read, classes were visited by two of the library’s children’s staff—including one dressed in a unicorn costume! Each student also got to choose a prize from the prize cart. The first class to reach their reading goal enjoyed a pizza party, and the class with the highest number of books read overall earned custom t-shirts.
They recently wrapped up the challenge with a celebration that included popsicles and a dunking booth as part of the school’s end-of-year festivities.
This has been a truly wonderful partnership, and we’re incredibly proud of the students’ enthusiasm, dedication, and achievement. Huge thanks to the Tifton-Tift County Public Library for supporting this initiative and making reading fun for our students! #4theT
