Who better to share what principals mean to our schools than our students? Members of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council opened up about the impact their principals have had on them, past and present.
"I appreciate my principal because she always works hard to make our school a very positive and safe environment for everyone. Mrs. Johnson always makes sure we feel safe and welcoming every time we walk into the door."
Who better to share what principals mean to our schools than our students? Members of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council opened up about the impact their principals have had on them, past and present.
"A principal that I would like to show appreciation to is Dr. Morrow at Annie Bell Clark Elementary school. Dr. Morrow made a huge impact on me and my friends. She is someone that I can rely on and other people can too. She is one of my favorite principals!"
"I believe that having a principal is an important aspect to run a school. Mr. Winger is the Eighth Street Middle School principal and I, as well as other students, appreciate him and everything he does. Mr. Winger knows how to connect with the student body, whether he’s dressing up on theme days or even having a conversation with them when they’re upset. He is well-disciplined and overall an amazing administrator."
This presentation will highlight practical strategies for supporting families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who engage in challenging behaviors. Emphasizing family-centered care, it will explore how collaboration, communication, and resilience within the family system improve outcomes for both children and caregivers.
The AAC will be joined by panelists Nadrat Nuhu, PhD, BCBA-D; Karol Blackman, BCBA; Clarissa Martin, BCBA; Edie Brush, BCBA’; Ana Helen Mckelvey, BCBA.
