Tift County Schools is proud to announce a new initiative to employ our Work-Based Learning (WBL) students within the school system. This semester students are serving in a variety of roles where they are gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of skilled professionals. These positions provide students with meaningful, real-world learning opportunities while offering financial compensation for their contributions.

By investing in our students in this way, we are not only supporting their personal and professional growth but also cultivating and retaining talented individuals within our community. We look forward to expanding this program in the future, offering similar opportunities across additional departments in Tift County Schools.

"I believe that having a principal is an important aspect to run a school. Mr. Winger is the Eighth Street Middle School principal and I, as well as other students, appreciate him and everything he does. Mr. Winger knows how to connect with the student body, whether he’s dressing up on theme days or even having a conversation with them when they’re upset. He is well-disciplined and overall an amazing administrator."
