Board of Education

The Tift County School System is governed by a seven-member board, elected by the residents of Tift County. The Board holds its regular, monthly meeting at 6 p.m., on the second Thursday of each month.

Board members’ terms are for four years. Current members include:

Board of Education Goals:

  • The Board will work towards and maintain "Exemplary" status as outlined by the Georgia School Boards Association.

  • The Board will support the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan to ensure high student achievement.

  • The Board will support the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan to foster school culture.

  • The Board will support the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan to optimize stakeholder engagement.
