Tift County was well represented at the Georgia Migrant Education Summer Program held last week at Valdosta State University! 💙📚 Our high school students participated in academic sessions including writing, astronomy, math, STEM, business engineering, study skills, and career exploration. They also enjoyed extracurricular activities like art, ropes courses, swimming lessons, and soccer. It was a week full of learning, growth, and fun! ☀️🎓⚽️ #4theT

📚☀️ Another way to keep students Learning Under the Sun! Each Kindergarten through 5th grade student brought home their "My Book" at the end of the school year. These books include grade-level reading passages designed to help students practice and strengthen their literacy skills over the summer. Summer Learning Enrichment - Students enjoyed their first art project. The project was called, "Hands Down, You're the Best." Students created a heartfelt handprint bouquet filled with love and kind words to celebrate someone special. It’s a colorful way to say, ‘You’re the best!’—hands down! 🍎 Celebrating Excellence in School Nutrition! 🥳 Our School Nutrition Department recently held their end-of-the-year celebration, and we’re proud to share that 16 dedicated staff members were recognized for perfect attendance this school year! These individuals showed up each and every day to ensure our students received nutritious meals with a smile. As a token of appreciation, they received a bonus for their outstanding commitment. 🌞 Yesterday marked the first day of our Summer Feeding Program—and what a great start it was! Over 2,500 meal bags were distributed, each filled with 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches to help keep our students nourished through the summer. To make it even more special, children in grades PreK–5 also received age-appropriate books with their meals. We are proud to offer this opportunity to feed both mind and body as our students continue LEARNING UNDER THE SUN! 🌻📚🍎 #4theT

We’re proud that the Administrative Office has been selected as the Beauty Spot of the Month by the Keep Tift Beautiful Commission. Exciting things are happening in Tift County! Last week, our dedicated K-5 teachers came together to kick off collaborative unit writing for English Language Arts and Math. This important work ensures our instructional units are aligned with Georgia’s new ELA standards and meet the diverse needs of our students. Teachers shared ideas, explored resources, and laid the foundation for high-quality, standards-based instruction that supports student success across all grade levels. #4theT

🚌Tift County Bus Drivers recently gathered for their annual End-of-the-Year Luncheon, celebrating a year of hard work and dedication. During the event, special recognition was given to 24 drivers who maintained perfect attendance throughout the school year. These individuals were presented with a bonus in appreciation of their outstanding commitment. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and reliability of our bus drivers — your service plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of our students each and every day.
