🍎📚 Nourishing Bodies and Minds This Summer! 📚🍎
Tift County School Nutrition is making a meaningful impact this summer by providing 2,500 meal bags to children across our community. Each bag contains seven breakfasts and seven lunches—enough to provide a child with nutritious meals for an entire week while school is out of session.
(Students attending summer school will also receive a 3-day meal bag at the end of each week to help bridge the gap between program days.)
In addition to healthy meals, age-appropriate books are being distributed to children, helping encourage literacy and a love of reading throughout the summer months.
A special thank you to our Parent Coordinators, TCHS Early Childhood Education (ECE) Pathway students, and Teaching & Learning administrative assistants for packing the books and making this initiative possible. Their dedication and teamwork ensure that our students have access to learning opportunities they need to thrive.
Together, these efforts demonstrate Tift County Schools' commitment to feeding both the bodies and minds of our students all summer long.
