Recently, TCHS Principal Jennifer Johnson received the Jim Puckett Outstanding Educator Award from the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP). Each year, the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) provides affiliate, associate, and partner organizations to nominate fellow members for the GAEL Outstanding Educator Award. Winners are recognized at Summer GAEL conference. The honor goes to individuals who personify the leadership qualities modeled by GAEL's third Executive Director, Dr. Jim Puckett.
Melanie Sigler (GAMSP Executive Director) said, "Jennifer has been able to bring people together, see opportunities where others see challenges and foster a community where every voice is heard and valued. She has an unwavering passion for public education, a genuine empathy for both students and staff, and a relentless drive to make a positive impact on everyone around her. She embodies what it means to lead with heart and purpose."
Mrs Johnson said, "I am always very proud to represent Tift County and share the great things we do with others in the great state of Georgia."
She was recognized at tonight's Board of Education meeting for receiving this award. She is pictured with Jonathan Jones, Board of Education Chairman and Natalie Gore, Superintendent.
Congratulations Mrs. Johnson!
