Out of an abundance of caution, Matt Wilson Elementary was placed on a soft lockdown due to a situation that occurred in the neighborhood around the school. System security personnel worked with local law enforcement to determine that there was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff and the school resumed normal operations.

CTAE extends beyond the classroom to provide students with community connections and service activities. TCHS students in the Criminal Justice Pathway recently visited elementary schools to assist with fingerprinting kindergarten students as part of the Project Safe Kids ID Kit. CTAE Students were able to practice and apply skills they learned in class while providing a service to the community and building relationships with younger students.
