The Blue Devil Basketball team is headed to Rome to tip off their season with a scrimmage tomorrow, but first, they made an important stop in Warner Robins tonight to cheer on their fellow Blue Devils as the football team takes on Veterans!

Different sports, different seasons, but ONE BLUE DEVIL FAMILY! Seeing our student-athletes show up for one another speaks volumes about the pride, unity, and support that make Tift County special.
Being part of a team is about more than what happens on the field or court. It’s about encouraging each other, celebrating each other’s successes, and understanding that when one Blue Devil succeeds, we ALL succeed!

Tift County Schools' Gifted Resource and Advanced Content teachers came together for our October Gifted Job-Alike, focused on Reflecting, Refining, and Reimagining Talent Development across K–12!
Through engaging conversations and collaborative activities, teachers explored how students' strengths and talents can be recognized, nurtured, and developed from elementary through high school. A key focus was looking beyond traditional measures of achievement to discover potential in ALL learners.
Our goal? Create more opportunities for students to discover their strengths, develop their talents, and experience advanced learning throughout their educational journey.
We are excited about the collaboration happening across grade levels as we continue building meaningful Talent Development opportunities for Tift County students!

Tift County Schools is proud to recognize Kimberly Onyeri, Gifted Resource Teacher at J.T. Reddick Elementary School and instructor for our district's Gifted Endorsement Program, for presenting during the recent Georgia Department of Education's virtual professional learning session, Growing Gifted and Advanced Academics: Conversations for Today's Elementary Classrooms.
Mrs. Onyeri was one of four educators from across Georgia selected to share promising instructional practices for gifted and advanced learners. Her presentation highlighted the use of thinking routines and multimodal learning to promote critical thinking, creativity, deeper reasoning, and student voice. She shared classroom examples demonstrating how students can communicate their learning through meaningful, authentic experiences. Tift County Schools wrapped up an exciting week of Blue Devils P.R.E.P. (Professional Readiness and Employment Pathways) today in partnership with Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC)!
Students in our blended learning program participated in workforce readiness training that included OSHA 10, forklift operations, ServSafe, and professional workplace skills. The week concluded with tours of Tifton Coca-Cola and Heatcraft, giving students a firsthand look at career opportunities right here in our community.
A heartfelt thank-you to both businesses for welcoming our students! Your teams made these visits engaging, informative, and memorable.
A special thank-you to Jerry Riggs for his outstanding leadership in planning and coordinating a meaningful week for our students. We also appreciate SRTC’s Economic Development team and the local businesses and community partners whose support made this experience possible.

Her inspiration for becoming a principal was rooted in supporting teachers and students. She believes that when teachers have the resources, encouragement, and support they need, they are better equipped to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

The event connected classroom learning to future possibilities, encouraging student engagement, career readiness, and purposeful planning for high school and beyond. From healthcare and skilled trades to public safety, technology, and more, students discovered possibilities for their futures.
