After studying Newton’s Laws, Momentum, Impulse, and Forces, Mrs. Hathaway’s Physics class put their knowledge to the test with the iconic Egg Drop Lab! 🥚🪂⚙️
Students designed and built devices to protect their eggs as they dropped from the top of the soccer stands — straight onto the concrete! The challenge? No parachutes allowed! Each design had to reduce Impulse (Force × Time) to safely slow the egg’s momentum and prevent it from cracking.
Several students succeeded in dropping their device multiple times before their egg finally broke — a true testament to physics in action and creative problem-solving! 💡👏

When the call was accidentally disconnected, she immediately called back to apologize. She then went above and beyond — contacting her manager for more information, walking the caller through the sponsorship process step-by-step, and even offering additional business leads and job resources for a TCHS student-athlete.
Her patience, professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help — even outside her normal duties — exemplify what it means to Raise the Bar at Tift County High School. 💙

Ari may not be the loudest voice in the classroom, but her presence speaks volumes through her kindness, reliability, and willingness to help others. She consistently shows up—not only academically, but in ways that reveal her strong character. Ari is always ready to lend a hand, whether it’s assisting teachers with extra tasks or helping classmates when they need support. Recently, when I asked if she could help during a meeting for Migrant Parents after school hours, she didn’t hesitate. She volunteered her free time, and using her fluency in both English and Spanish, she translated and made the children feel comfortable and included. Exciting things continue to happen at The Palace! After receiving new goals last week, installation is now underway on a new digital scoreboard. The previous scoreboard, original to the construction of the building, served us well through many great moments, but it was time for an update.
