Summer Enrichment

TIFTON, GA — This summer, Tift County Schools is providing elementary students with exciting opportunities to learn, create, and explore through a four-week Summer Enrichment Program designed for students entering 1st through 5th grades.

Hosted at Annie Belle Clark Elementary School, the program expands learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom by allowing students to discover new interests and engage in hands-on learning experiences in a fun and supportive environment.

Throughout the four-week program, students participate in a variety of enrichment courses that encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Offerings include Art, Fine Arts, Robotics, STEM, and Agriculture, providing students with engaging learning experiences designed to spark curiosity and inspire them to explore potential passions and talents.

The enrichment classes are taught by teachers who work in those subject areas during the regular school year and are assisted by student workers who are current Tift County High School students or recent graduates.

The Summer Enrichment Program aligns with Tift County Schools' commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities that support the whole child and foster academic, social, and creative growth.

"Summer provides a unique opportunity for students to learn in new ways," said Michael Slaven, Assistant Superintendent for Beyond the Core. "Through hands-on activities and enrichment experiences, students are able to explore their interests, build new skills, and continue growing as learners while having fun."

The program is part of the district's broader summer learning initiative, which focuses on academic growth, targeted support, and enrichment opportunities for students across Tift County.

By offering engaging experiences in areas such as Art, Fine Arts, Robotics, STEM, and Agriculture, Tift County Schools is helping students develop confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
