Tifton, GA - The Tift County High School FFA Chapter has earned one of the highest honors in agricultural education and leadership development.
The South Region Agricultural Education Team recognizes outstanding FFA chapters through participation and achievement in Agricultural Education and FFA activities at the regional, state, and national levels. This prestigious recognition is known as the South Region Outstanding Chapter Award Program, commonly referred to as the “Blue Sign” Award.
For the 2025–2026 school year, the Tift County High School FFA Chapter was recognized as the South Region Outstanding Chapter in the Multi-Teacher Department category.
The purpose of the award is to recognize Area 5 and Area 6 FFA programs that actively participate and excel in Agricultural Education and FFA events sponsored by the South Region Agricultural Education Team, the Georgia FFA Association, and the National FFA Organization.
To be eligible for this recognition, chapters must remain in good standing and meet several requirements, including submitting FFA membership rosters and dues, Chapter Programs of Activities and budgets, course enrollment information, and having two voting delegates attend the State FFA Convention. Chapters also earn points throughout the year based on participation and success in team and individual competitions conducted at FFA events.
During the 2025–2026 school year, the Tift County High School FFA Chapter competed in and won numerous Career Development Events (CDEs) and Leadership Development Events (LDEs). Many teams and individual members also earned top honors and placements at the state level. These accomplishments contributed significantly toward earning this prestigious award among highly competitive neighboring programs, including Colquitt County FFA, which has earned the “Blue Sign” recognition multiple times in recent years.
