REACH Georgia Scholars

On November 14, 2023 five Tift County 8th grade students participated in a signing ceremony as part of the REACH Georgia Scholarship Program. REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Hap-pen) Georgia is a scholarship that begins in 8th grade. Scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach and throughout high school they must maintain good grades (2.5 GPA in core courses), behavior and attendance. Upon successful completion of the program, qualifying students earn a $10,000 scholarship towards their educational costs at a University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia institution or an eligible private post secondary institution.

Students signed their pledge to participate and maintain the qualifications of the program while parents and community members pledged to provide support to these students throughout their academic career.

Tift County first participated in the REACH Georgia Scholarship program in 2019. The first 5 recipients of the scholarship will graduate from Tift County High School this year. By participating in this program these students are Relentlessly Pursuing a Culture of Excellence
