On Monday, November 6th, the Tift County Young Farmer Chapter attended the Annual South Region Young Farmer Caucus. The meeting was well attended by Chapters from across Area V and Area VI. Tift County had six members present at the meeting, three of which were designated as voting delegates.
During the meeting, regional application winners were announced. Tift County Young Farmers submitted five applications this year. We were fortunate to have three Region winners announced:
Outstanding Chapter Award
Chapter President Award - Robyn Thompson
Young Ag Professional - Brittany Saylor
These applications will be judged on the state level in January at the Annual Georgia Young Farmer Convention.
Our Outstanding Member, Chris Scarbor, and our Young Beginning Producer, Si Crumley, were also recognized for their work in submitting an application.
It was a great night for the Tift County Young Farmers.
