Tift County High School has been named as one of the 2023 Advanced Placement Honor Schools by State School Superintendent, Richard Woods. There were 273 schools from 97 districts that achieved this honor.

TCHS received the designation of an AP Access and Support School. This designation is for schools with at least 30% of AP exams taken by students who identified as African American and/or Hispanic and 30% of all AP exams earning scores of 3 or higher.
