After School Programs

Tift County 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) provides community-learning centers for students and families. Centers operate 5 days a week outside the normal school day during the school year. A 6-week program is offered during the summer. Transportation is provided during both programs. This program encourages schools and communities to become partners by sharing in the commitment to improve the educational success for all children and families.

Extended Day is offered three days a week from 3:15-4:30. Students receive reading instruction, CCC instruction, and math instruction.

The Kids Advocacy Coalition (KAC)/Kids in Tifton Enrichment (KITE), a non-profit agency, collaborates with the Tift County Board of Education in offering safe, affordable, high quality after school care for children. Care is available to all students in grades Pre-K through 7. KAC/KITE employs certified teachers, paraprofessionals and college students. Every attempt is made to maintain a 10:1 ratio of students to staff. On school holidays and during the summer, KAC/KITE and the Tift County Recreation Department work together to provide care at the recreation department.
