  Tift County Gym Devils qualify for State! 
• The gymnastics team competed at The Lovett School in Atlanta on Saturday, April 24.  They came in 2nd out of 36 teams competing. 
• They will go to Westminster School in Atlanta on Friday April 30 to compete for State title.  The meet will begin at 7 pm and admission is $7 per person.  The meet will be televised the following week on GHSA.net tv website.  More info on this is below. 

• Top Six Team Scores at Area Qualifier

  Girls did great!  We also had four girls qualify for individual events:  Ashley McLeod on Vault, Libby Barbour and Beth Roberts on Bars, Tatum Lamb and Beth Roberts on Beam, and Beth Roberts on Floor.  Both Ashley and Beth will compete in all around competition.  This means these girls were the top 12 scorers on each event.  There were about 100 girls competing in each event.  I am so proud of this team, they were great!

• For the first time, the GHSA Gymnastic State Championships will be broadcast on GHSA On Demand (Comcast Cable) and GHSA.tv (Web). Coverage in a “condensed meet” format will start airing on Tues., May 4. To watch GHSA On Demand, select the ON DEMAND button on your Comcast remote or go to Channel, choose "Get Local," select "Top Picks" and then "GHSA On Demand."

• COMCAST CONTEST-- Comcast (Atlanta) is giving your school the chance to be featured on GHSA On Demand, which is a segment of Comcast Cable’s unique and localized programming. From April 19 – April 28, students and faculty will be encouraged to go online and vote for their school. The high school with the most votes will win the opportunity to flaunt their school spirit for the Comcast cameras.
