Juniors qualify for incentives this year at TCHS!
Juniors that pass all four parts of the Georgia High School Graduation Test will qualify for a drawing to win one of the following prizes:

ART STUDENTS PLACE AT KIWANIS CLUB ART COMPETITION
Congratulations to Jenalee Parrish for placing 1st with her watercolor River of Life and to Anna Lee Hilliard for placing 2nd with her watercolor Iris in the Kiwanis Club Art competition this past weekend.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD HEADS TO STATE
TCHS Science Olympiad Team Ties for 2nd Place and will head to the state tournament at Emory University. Fifteen members of the TCHS Science Club competed in the 2010 Science Olympiad Regional Competition on Saturday, March 6th that was held at ABAC. TCHS tied for second place out of 21 teams from all over Georgia.
ANNIE BELLE CLARK PRE-K STUDENTS COME TO "BIG SCHOOL FOR A DAY" AT TCHS WITH MRS. DAUGHTREY'S TEACHING AS A PROFESSION CLASS
Linda Giroux Pre K class recently visited Tift County High for "Big School for a Day" sponsored by Lisa Daughtrey's Early Childhood Education classes. Pre K students spend the day visiting various classes at TCHS to get the experience of being "Big" kids. Their visit includes the media center, computer lab, P.E., band, chorus, and technolgy lab. In the photo above students are visiting the Engineering and Technology lab and taking a turn running a hydraulic robot.

Students previously enrolled before 2009 who have left TCHS with a certificate of performance should contact the Testing Coordinator at 387-2475 before testing.

The Tifton Branch of the Literacy Volunteers of America has volunteers willing to help our students pass the GHSGT by arranging free tutoring. Contact Dondi Bargeron of the LVA at 382-0505.
Passing the GHSGT workbooks are available for Math, Science, and Social Studies for check-out through the media center.

2nd 9 Weeks Honor Roll Students Honored with Pizza Party
Students that made an A in each of their four classes second nine weeks celebrated their success during a pizza party on March 3rd. Entertainment was provided by the Blues Devils and students recieved donated gifts.
