Fourth graders in Mrs. Jane Walker’s GATE Resource Class have been studying Pilgrims and the settling of Plymouth Colony. They have learned about the hardships the Pilgrims faced and how they endured many struggles in everyday life. As a culminating experience, the students brought in food that the early settlers would have had during their Thanksgiving feast. As a result of this vicarious experience, the fourth graders have a deeper, richer understanding of why the Pilgrims give thanks and why we honor them today.
- Congratulations to Charles Spencer's Spelling Bee Winners: Ana Morales, Kaycee Aultman, and Perrine Kemarait.
