Tift County School Cafeterias Recognized for Participation Levels

Each year the Georgia Department of Education honors schools for reaching a high level of participation in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Georgia has one of the highest participation rates in the nation and Tift County has distinguished itself by beating this high state average at all 12 schools.  Nine of those twelve schools received certificates for achieving levels of participation at the highest recognition levels. These certificates were presented to the managers of each cafeteria at the March Board meeting by Licia Nicholson, School Nutrition Director.

Georgia Career Student Association (GCSA) Region 5 held is Region Conference on February 11 in Blackshear, GA. Tift County High School, Northeast Chapter of GCSA had several winners.

Tift Co. Health Department Helps with Documentation for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration

The Tift County Health Department is having a special clinic for students that will enter Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten this fall.
