Lisa Moore, is one of 8th Street Middle Schools Counselors. Mrs. Moore earned her BS degree from Valdosta State University, a Master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern State University and is currently working on her ED. S in educational leadership from Valdosta State University. She taught Middle school science for 14 years prior to becoming a guidance counselor. 

 Mrs. Moore provides counseling services to all students at 8th Street in a variety of capacities.  She serves as a support system for students academically, socially and emotionally through one on one counseling, group therapy, classroom observation and SST/504 facilitation.  She is the primary contact person/facilitator for Student Study Team (SST) meetings and Section 504 Accommodation Plans.

Mrs. Moore believes that all children should be given the opportunity to succeed, regardless of personal circumstances/conditions, and is wholeheartedly committed to providing consistent guidance in an unbiased manner and a safe environment.  She is available Monday through Friday.
