Dress Code

Students will wear acceptable attire that exhibits good taste and is appropriate for the occasion.  Dress that fails to meet these standards includes tank tops, unbuttoned shirts or blouses, bare midriffs, mini skirts, shorts of any type, and sheer apparel.  All males must have shirts tucked in at all times.  Girls who wear male type shirts must have their shirts tucked in also.  Dark-lens glasses and hats will not be worn in the building. Suggestive T-shirts that advertise alcoholic beverages, violence, drugs or tobacco will not be worn. No gang or fraternity colors, symbols, paraphernalia, or clothing will be worn.  All of these guidelines are subject to the interpretation of the grade level administration.  Students not adhering to the above guidelines will phone home to make necessary changes, will remain in isolation until proper clothing can be brought, or will be isolated for the remainder of the day.  Students who continue to fail to comply with dress code regulations will be punished.  Students are given a copy of the dress code when class schedules are picked up or on the first day in attendance.
