Angie Crumley, Reading Recovery/LLI teacher for first grade was tapped as a Teacher of Excellence by the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence on November 16th. Congratulations, Mrs. Crumley! Helping present the award were Kelly Golden, G.O. Bailey Liasion for the TCFEE, Diane Lane, principal of G.O.Bailey, Patrick Atwater, Tift Schools superintendent, and Mike Brumby, director of the TCFEE.

Children's Book Parade Big Success!
The annual G.O. Bailey Children's Book Parade took place November 23rd and 24th. Kindergarten and 3rd grade students entertained fellow students and residents at Golden Living nursing home on the 23rd and on November 24th 1st and 2nd grade students participated in the parade. Coming soon will be a slideshow of parade pictures for your enjoyment.

Okefenokee Joe Visits G.O. Bailey
Okefenokee Joe will visited G.O. Bailey on December 8th. He educated and entertained students and staff with a whole host of animal friends native to Georgia.

- G.O. Bailey is very proud of their Writing Fair winners: Alisha Weathersby (3rd Gr.), Aaron Lever (2nd Gr.), & Madison Cook (1st Gr.), & ShaDiamond McIntyre (Kind.) A special congratulations to Aaron and ShaDiamond whose entries were selected as winners in the Tift County Writing Fair. These students will go on to compete in the RESA-wide judging.
Report Card Highlights
- Met Adequate Yearly Progress criteria in 8 out of 8 areas.
- 95% of 3rd graders met or exceeded standards on the Math CRCT.
