The group has sung literally worldwide for well over a century, amazing audiences that have included hometown audiences and heads of state alike.
The group is universally recognized for its preservation of the legacy and performance of a deep tradition of spiritual singing. Under the direction of Dr. Paul Kwami, the Fisk Jubilee Singers continue this tradition of preservation; after three days of intensive rehearsals with both the Colquitt and Tift County High School A Cappella Choirs and the ABAC Chamber Singers, the evening’s performance will be a joint concert by the three groups of some of the world’s most stirring and singularly American music.
