ALL TIFT COUNTY STUDENTS TO RECEIVE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT NO COST

Tift County is among the Georgia school districts that qualify for "Community Eligibility Option," a program that's part of the $4.5 billion Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act signed into law by President Obama in 2010. The program is aimed at improving the way students get free or reduced-price lunches at school. Georgia was one of four states invited to join the program this upcoming school year before it goes nationwide in 2014-15. -
