Student Council members, 2007-8
Annie Belle Clark Primary School has a student council comprised of twenty-four third grade students who possess qualities of character that will enable them to command the confidence and respect of those they lead. Throughout the year they participate in many activities. The council manages the school store, raises the flag daily, collects recycled paper weekly, and organizes fundraisers throughout the year to benefit many wonderful organizations. One of the fundraisers that the student council hosted during the 2005-2006 school year was "Coins for Katrina", in which the school raised money for those directly affected by Hurricane Katrina. The funds raised were donated to the American Red Cross. The council recently concluded a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association entitled "Cover ABC in Clovers". The proceeds raised went to support children who participate in MDA summer camp programs. The students involved with student council have developed exceptional leadership abilities through their work this school year.
