Annie Belle Clark Readers of the Year

Dancing Drums

Lindsay Rust and Steve Campbell, started “Dancing Drum” and visited Annie Belle Clark in May.  They brought  several drums along with other instruments to add to the raps that the students have learned. They are driving to Georgia from California, making several stops along the way before their “Georgia Tour of Schools”. Annie Belle Clark is their first stop in Tifton before going to the other Primary Schools.  Drumming Up Character uses upbeat hip-hop music, drumming, character rap songs, and dances to highlight important themes of good character. Each grade level has learned several of the raps as well as the dances over the past few months.

Writing Fair Winners

Congratulations! Annie Belle Clark Writing Fair Winners: Lauren Whitley (Kindergarten), Claudia Brown (First grade), Randa Cooper (Second grade), and Kasey Griffin (Third grade). Claudia Brown and Kasey Griffin are also Tift County Writing Fair Winners.

• Perfect Attendance Awards

  Students at Annie Belle Clark are rewarded often for perfect attendance. Each month students with perfect attendance are rewarded with different prizes ranging from pencils, ice cream, bookmarks, etc. At the end of the nine weeks, students with perfect attendance receive a coupon from Papa John’s for a free personal pizza. These students are then entered into a drawing for a bicycle and helmet donated by Cici’s Pizza through their BIKE program (Building Incentives for Kid’s Education).

  Last year our school raised $571.00. Please continue to collect Box Tops for Education. Also, we are now collecting Soup Labels for Education. The class that turns in the most will be rewarded with a treat from PTO.
