Extended Day Program
K-8 After-School Tutorial Program
Tift County School District offers Extended Day sessions for students in grades K-8 that need additional support in order to master content standards.
Goal
The goal of extended day is to provide instruction that addresses skill weaknesses as identified by teacher observation, benchmark assessments and daily classroom performance.
Classes meet three afternoons per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) for one hour (3:30-4:30) of instruction from a certified teacher. Extended Day classes are small enough to provide small group, individual instruction, and computer assisted instruction. Students are referred by their teacher(s) based on academic needs.
