Pre-K Pet Shop Experience
Miss Melissa Rainey and Miss Tiffany Jones' class just finished learning about all types of animals and their habitats. As a part of the unit, the children even had their very own pet shop in the classroom where they could purchase their very own pets.
To add a special activity to their unit, the kids decided that it would be fun and a GREAT cause to donate money and other items to the Tifton-Tift County Animal Shelter. Miss Melissa and Miss Tiffany's class raised almost $100 and donated special treats and food to the animals.
Miss Regina Wells, Director of the Tifton-Tift County Animal Shelter, visited their class on Wednesday, March 3rd, and brought Sherman, a once abused dog but now her own special, rescued pet. He loved the children immediately and the children were so amazed with Sherman and his rescue story! The students presented their donations to Miss Regina and learned first-hand how their donations would help the animals right here in Tift County. Through this whole experience, they have learned why it is so important to give to others.
Remember, you can visit the shelter the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. You can go for your own special adoption, to make a donatio, or just to show your love and support to the animals. They would love to see you!!!

School News
- We have started taking trips to Tift County High School for "A Day At The Big School. Each class will have an opportunity to tour the high school and learn all about the various things that the "big kids" do during their day. Make sure you stay up to date on when your child's class goes so that you can ask them all about their day!
- Remember that Papa John's Pizza Night is the first Tuesday of each month. On this night, call in to Papa John's and tell them that the order you're placing is to support your child's teacher. For every order placed, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pre-K Center and, the teacher with the most orders will win a pizza party for their class.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR LITTLE ONE AT SCHOOL ON TIME EACH DAY! BEING ON TIME KEEPS THEM FROM MISSING THE VALUABLE TEACHING TIME THAT WILL HELP THEM AS THEY FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION AND REACH FOR THE STARS!!!
