Carla Carlson - Teacher of the Year 2009 - 2010

Mrs. Carlson

Mrs. Carlson is G.O. Bailey's Teacher of the Year for school year 2010-2011. She began her teaching career at Omega Elementary several years ago. Early in her career at Omega she was recognized for her outstanding teaching ability. Since coming to G.O. Bailey, she has completed the training for gifted and talented education. She works daily to challenge students and provide accelerated and differentiated instruction. She was recently slected to train as a Primary Literacy Coordinator in waiting. She is highly respected among her peers at G.O. Bailey. In all that she does, Mrs. Carlson laughs and smiles and keeps a positive attitude. Because of her outstanding spirit of cooperation and her exemplary teaching ability, she was selected by her peers as G.O. Bailey's 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year. She is married to Scott and together they have 2 sons, Garrett and Gavin. -

Mrs. Crumley Getting AwardAngie Crumley, Reading Recovery/LLI teacher for first grade was tapped as a Teacher of Excellence by the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence on November 16th. Congratulations, Mrs. Crumley! Helping present the award were Kelly Golden, G.O. Bailey Liasion for the TCFEE, Diane Lane, principal of G.O.Bailey, Patrick Atwater, Tift Schools superintendent, and Mike Brumby, director of the TCFEE.

Children's Book Parade

children in paradeThe annual G.O. Bailey Children's Book Parade took place November 23rd and 24th. Kindergarten and 3rd grade students entertained fellow students and residents at Golden Living nursing home on the 23rd and on November 24th 1st and 2nd grade students participated in the parade. Coming soon will be a slideshow of parade pictures for your enjoyment.
